What's new in Pallio
Release notes
Improvements you will notice, in the order they shipped. Pallio answers from your own documents with clickable citations; these notes cover what changed in the web app and the iOS and Android apps.
Features
- Flashcards from personas that keep their documents private (1.0.868, 2026-10-21): Flashcards from a persona whose creator keeps its documents private are now made from those documents. Before, they could say the documents didn't cover your topic. When today's answers are used up, a persona whose documents are private no longer offers a document search it can't show. Shared documents that were shown as private on some personas now open normally.
- Teach me works after you buy a persona (1.0.867, 2026-10-21): Lessons from a persona you bought, or from a persona whose documents are kept private, are now written from its documents. Before, they could say the documents were empty. In those lessons, "Search online" now explains it isn't available instead of asking you to upgrade.
- Shared answers read cleanly (1.0.866, 2026-10-21): When you share an answer, it no longer includes the document line numbers or stray ** marks. Page numbers stay when the answer has them. When today's chats are used up, the chat now says so as soon as you open it, instead of letting you type a message that can't be sent.
- Cleaner answers that finish while you're away (1.0.865, 2026-10-21): An answer that finished while you were away from the chat now shows follow-up suggestions as buttons, not as a block of raw text at the end. A paid persona's page now shows how many free messages you have left, and stops offering them once you've used them. When today's chats are used up, a paid persona you haven't bought now says so plainly instead of offering a search it can't run.
- Free previews of paid personas now work on phones (1.0.864, 2026-10-21): When your free messages with a paid persona run out, your phone now shows how to buy it. Before, Send just did nothing. Free preview answers now come from the persona's documents. A message the app can't answer no longer uses one of your daily chats.
- Try one topic free from a paid persona (1.0.863, 2026-10-20): In Teach me, you can build a path from a paid persona you haven't bought and learn one of its topics free, with a few follow-up questions. The other topics unlock when you buy the persona.
- Exam timer starts when you see the question (1.0.862, 2026-10-20): In Exam mode, the timer starts when you can see the question, not while the quiz is still getting ready. "Not sure — show me" now shows the answer in a calm panel instead of the red one used for wrong answers. Flags you set in a quiz now stay set.
- Flag questions, review before you finish, retry what you missed (1.0.861, 2026-10-20): In a quiz with results at the end, flag any question to check later. After your last answer you'll see "All answered" with your flags, so you can review before you finish. On your results, "Retry N missed" quizzes you again on just the questions you got wrong.
- Skip questions and change answers in quizzes (1.0.860, 2026-10-20): In a quiz set to show results at the end (and in Exam mode), you can skip a question to answer it later. It comes back before you finish. "Review answers" shows what you've chosen so far, and you can change multiple-choice and true/false answers before you finish. In a Teach me check, "Not sure — show me" reveals the answer instead of making you guess, and the topic comes back sooner in your reviews. Starting a quiz no longer briefly says you already have one in progress.
- Build time in your own time zone (1.0.859, 2026-10-20): The version line in Settings › Help & About shows its time in your own time zone.
- See and install updates from Settings (1.0.858, 2026-10-20): Settings › Help & About now shows whether Pallio is up to date. When an update is ready you'll see what's new in it: tap Restart to get it now, or it installs by itself next time you leave the app. Restarting waits for any answer that's still being written.
- A tidier Library and fair free previews (1.0.857, 2026-10-20): In your Library, All files · Recent · Starred · Trash now come first, and the persona filter and sort sit side by side. Paid personas' free messages are now counted correctly, so the free preview a creator offers works the same on every device.
- Your weekly review, on your phone too (1.0.856, 2026-10-20): Every Monday, Pallio lets you know which Teach me topics are ready to review, in the app and on your phone. If you already use the daily study reminder, you won't get a second notification. Prefer not to? Turn off "Weekly review on Mondays" in Teach me › Study reminders.
- Quiz and study setup buttons work again, and follow to learn (1.0.855, 2026-10-20): Fixed: the setup screens for quizzes, flashcards, podcasts, documents, images and "Mark my answer" could show without responding to taps. They work again, and a source you open from them appears in front. Follow a persona to learn from it with Teach me. Following is free and adds a weekly review of the topics you're learning. Pallio, your guide, now chats like a helper: it explains where it's taking you before it opens a screen, and its + menu offers what it does best.
- Trash, stars, downloads and two free AI pictures (1.0.854, 2026-10-20): Removing a file from your Library now moves it to Trash, where you can restore it for 30 days. Restoring offers to put it back in the persona it came from. Star the files you use most, see the files you opened lately under Recent, and download the original of any file. Files, Study, Highlights and Shares now sit in one bar at the top of your Library. On the Free plan you can now make 2 AI pictures for your persona's avatar and background. Answers keep legal section numbers such as "§ 1192(1)" instead of dropping them. When you build a persona, the "Name & instructions" step now says it's writing them for you, instead of sitting empty for a few seconds. A persona's page has one clear "Ask anything" button with Share, Teach me, Pin and the rest as even tiles below it, and the editor's AI, Templates and Enhance buttons now match. Pallio is always first in Your Personas on Home.
- Manage many files at once in your Library (1.0.853, 2026-10-20): Tick several files in your Library to attach them to a persona, start a new persona with them, move them or remove them in one go. Drag files from your computer onto the Library page to upload them into the folder you're in. Each file shows its real type (PDF, Word, spreadsheet, audio…), and new filters show files that are still indexing, need attention, or aren't used by any persona yet. When building a persona, "Generate with AI" for the avatar and background is now a clear button that says what it uses.
- Pallio's page and attach button say what they really do (1.0.852, 2026-10-20): Pallio's own page no longer shows Edit, Embed and Stats buttons that led nowhere ("can't be edited"). In a chat with Pallio, the + menu now says "Attach a document": Pallio answers from it and keeps a copy in your Library.
- Numbers in answers keep their spacing, and Enter sends in chat (1.0.851, 2026-10-19): Answers no longer squash numbers like ".19" or ".08%" into the word before them ("a .19 BAC", not "a.19 BAC"). On a computer, Enter now sends your message in a chat, the same as on the home page. Use Shift+Enter for a new line.
- Learn More in announcements opens the right page (1.0.850, 2026-10-17): Tapping Learn More on an announcement now opens the page it points to, such as a persona's chat.
- Building a learning path fits your phone (1.0.849, 2026-10-17): On a phone, a new learning path goes one step at a time, with Back and Next at the bottom of the screen and the title pinned at the top. Ticking a document no longer moves it to the top of the list, so you keep your place.
- Back and Next sit at the bottom of the screen (1.0.848, 2026-10-17): When you create a persona on your phone, Back, Preview and Next now stay at the very bottom of the screen like a tab bar, with nothing showing underneath.
- Creating a persona fits your phone better (1.0.847, 2026-10-17): The top bar with Back stays in place while you scroll, and Back and Next stay at the bottom of the screen. Preview now opens from the bottom bar instead of sitting at the end of the page. On iPhone, the field you are typing in moves up above the keyboard instead of hiding behind it.
- Try Pallio right away, and clearer plans (1.0.846, 2026-10-17): New accounts now go straight to a ready-made example that fits what they're here for, instead of a slideshow. The walkthrough is still in Settings. The first answer that quotes a document shows a short tip: tap a citation to open the page it came from. Plans sit side by side on phones, and each button shows what you'll pay. On your phone, Pallio can now tell you when a persona's documents finish training — tap the button on the training banner to turn it on.
- Your next step, on Home and My Personas (1.0.845, 2026-10-17): Home and My Personas now point out what each of your personas still needs — documents to add, documents still training, or instructions to write — with one tap to fix it. Hide any you don't need.
- Create a persona from your documents first (1.0.844, 2026-10-17): Creating a persona now starts with what it's for and the documents it should answer from; Pallio then drafts the name, description and instructions from those documents for you to review. The documents step counts what you've added, and if you skip it, it tells you plainly what that means: answers without citations. The last step shows how ready the persona is before you create it, then takes you straight into its chat to try it while the documents train.
- Simpler search settings for your personas (1.0.843, 2026-10-17): The keyword-versus-meaning slider in Advanced search settings is gone: Pallio now balances both automatically and re-ranks every result for relevance, which tested as accurate as any manual setting.
- No false "unsaved changes" in the persona editor (1.0.842, 2026-10-17): Opening the persona editor from a link or after a refresh no longer claims you have unsaved changes when you haven't edited anything.
- Refreshing the persona editor keeps you there (1.0.841, 2026-10-17): Reloading the persona editor, or opening a link to it, now takes you straight back into the editor instead of the home screen with "Persona not found". The address bar now shows the editor's own link, so you can bookmark it or send it to a collaborator.
- Numbered steps inside answers stay in place (1.0.839, 2026-10-16): When an answer lists numbered steps under a bullet point, they now stay inside that point and keep their numbers, instead of spilling out below it.
- Links open the right page when the app is already open (1.0.837, 2026-10-16): Tapping a Pallio link while the app is open now takes you to that link, instead of back to the persona you opened the app with.
- Old links keep working, and unlisted sharing (1.0.836, 2026-10-15): Changing a persona's handle no longer breaks its old link — people who open the old @handle still land on the persona. Share a persona only by link: turn off Make Public and choose "Anyone with link (unlisted)". It stays out of Discover and search, and anyone signed in with the link can still chat. The "visible to viewers" count in the sharing settings now matches what viewers can actually open, and says so if an earlier bug hid some of your documents. An answer no longer appears twice when it arrives on your phone at the same moment from two directions. The source card under an answer now opens the exact passage the answer quotes. When training finishes while you're editing a persona, you get a short notice instead of a pop-up covering your work. Persona pages with many documents load faster.
- Move files into folders from the file menu (1.0.835, 2026-10-15): Each file's ⋯ menu now has "Move to folder", with a searchable list of your folders — no dragging needed, so it works on phones too. "Select All" in the sharing list now always selects all files.
- Deleting a file asks first (1.0.834, 2026-10-15): Deleting a single file from a persona now asks you to confirm and names the file, the same as deleting several at once.
- Shared files stay shared (1.0.833, 2026-10-15): Files you add to a persona that shares only selected documents now stay shared after you reopen the editor, instead of quietly becoming private to viewers.
- Clearer choices when you upload a new version (1.0.832, 2026-10-15): Uploading a newer version of a file now says so and offers to update it, instead of calling it "already here" and suggesting you skip it.
- New files are shared straight away (1.0.831, 2026-10-15): When you share only selected documents with viewers, files you upload are now shared as soon as they finish uploading — no extra Save needed.
- Updating your documents is simpler (1.0.830, 2026-10-15): Uploading a new edition of your files now spots which ones actually changed: identical copies are skipped and only the changed ones are replaced, so your persona retrains just what is new. A replaced document stays in its folder and keeps its sharing setting, and you can replace files even when your persona is at its file limit.
- See what an answer is based on (1.0.829, 2026-10-15): When a persona's creator keeps file names private, answers now say how many of the persona's documents they used, instead of dropping the sources list or repeating "the source material".
- No repeat notices after sending a photo (1.0.828, 2026-10-15): Sending just a photo no longer brings back an "earlier answer is ready" notice for an answer you already saw.
- Dismissed means dismissed (1.0.827, 2026-10-15): Closing an "earlier answer is ready" notice now keeps it closed, instead of showing it again each time you open the app. The "Challenge me" button after a check fits its label on phones.
- Reviews open from the chat (1.0.826, 2026-10-15): When a topic is due for review, the Teach me tile in the chat's + menu now opens its check straight away. File names with underscores in answers show as written, instead of turning parts of the name into italics.
- Teach me this, ready to go (1.0.825, 2026-10-14): "Teach me this" now picks the right documents for your question by itself, so you can build the path straight away.
- Smoother learning paths on phones (1.0.824, 2026-10-14): On phones, the document list in a new path no longer traps your scrolling. A lesson shows how many documents it really uses once it has loaded.
- Teach me finds the right documents (1.0.823, 2026-10-14): "Learn about" in a new learning path now finds the documents closest in meaning when none use your exact words, so goals like "forcible entry basics" or a whole question work.
- Smoother Teach me (1.0.821, 2026-10-14): Cancelling a new learning path takes you back to the chat or persona page you came from.
- Teach me, right in the chat (1.0.820, 2026-10-14): The add menu in a persona chat now starts with Teach me: it builds a step-by-step learning path from that persona, continues your next lesson, or opens the reviews that are due. Tap "Teach me this" under an answer to turn that question into a lesson. Type /teach in the message box to do the same.
- Shortened document names keep their links (1.0.819, 2026-10-13): When an answer names a document by a shortened file name or cites a page, it still links to the right document instead of showing "the source material".
- Citations by short name work too (1.0.818, 2026-10-12): When an answer cites a document by its short name, like a procedure number, the citation still links to that document and opens it.
- See and manage which personas use a file (1.0.817, 2026-10-12): In your library, tap "Used by" on any file to see the personas that answer from it, open them, or remove the file from one. Remove from library now works for files in use: it explains which personas use the file and removes it everywhere in one step. Filter your library by persona to see just the files one persona uses, or the ones no persona uses.
- Citations land on the right page (1.0.816, 2026-10-12): Tapping a citation opens the PDF on the page it cites, even when the document's name is the same as its title. Clear Chat now clears the whole conversation, including older messages and an answer that was still being written.
- Links open the right page (1.0.815, 2026-10-12): Opening a Pallio link on iPhone now takes you straight to that page, even when the app was closed. Back works again after opening a persona link.
- Tidier follow-ups and source counts (1.0.813, 2026-10-12): Follow-up suggestions under an answer no longer repeat page headers or the document's own title. A persona's Resources count now matches its sources, and new files you add are shared automatically when you share all files.
- Citations right where you read them (1.0.812, 2026-10-12): Answers now cite their documents inline, right after each point. Tap a citation to open the highlighted page. A persona’s own instructions can no longer change how Pallio cites. Back no longer gets stuck after opening a link to a persona you can’t view.
- Personas learn new files by themselves (1.0.811, 2026-10-12): Add files to a persona and it starts learning them right away. No Save or Train button needed, and files it already knows are skipped. Describe an expert and Pallio now gives it a clear, searchable name, a welcome message and four starter questions. Generated pictures no longer copy official badges, seals or logos. Photo previews on Home now show correctly on Android.
- Clearer training choices (1.0.810, 2026-10-12): The training button now says Train for new files and Retrain only for files that were trained before. When files are already on a persona, you can also choose to replace them all.
- Smoother persona creation (1.0.809, 2026-10-12): Describe your expert on the Create sheet and the build starts right away, without an old draft in the way. While creating on a phone, Back and Next stay at the end of each step. The preview is one tap away. If you pick more files than a persona can hold, Pallio tells you how many were added and how many were left out. Choosing an emoji or initials after generating a picture now keeps your choice. Adding a folder where some files are already on the persona? Add just the new ones, without re-uploading the rest. A question you send from Home with files attached now goes through, answered from the files you attached.
- Attach several files from Home (1.0.806, 2026-10-12): On Home, the paperclip and camera now let you pick several files or photos at once. They show as chips you can remove before you send. Photos and documents you attach go with your question into the chat. An app update no longer interrupts you while you pick files or while files are uploading.
- Tidier Discover rows (1.0.805, 2026-10-10): Persona cards in each Discover row are now the same height, with names, creators and sources lined up.
- Move files out of a folder in one tap (1.0.804, 2026-10-10): In Library, a file inside a folder now has "Move out to All files" in its menu — no need to pick a folder.
- A steadier first screen (1.0.803, 2026-10-10): On a new install, the first screen shows the bottom bar right away, without a second menu button in the corner.
- Recovery codes for two-step verification (1.0.802, 2026-10-10): When you turn on two-step verification you now get 10 recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe. Lost your phone? At sign-in, tap Try another way › Use a recovery code. Each code works once. Already using two-step verification? Get your codes in Settings › Sign-in & security.
- Bottom bar fits older Android phones (1.0.801, 2026-10-10): On some Android phones the bottom bar could float too high above the system buttons. It now sits right on every launch. Setting up two-step verification on a phone: one tap opens your authenticator app — no need to scan your own screen.
- Easier sign-in (1.0.800, 2026-10-10): Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-in are now at the top of the sign-in screen, and the keyboard no longer pops up over them on phones. The two-step verification code has six clear boxes, fills in from your phone, and checks itself once all six digits are in. Can't get a code? "Try another way" shows your options, including how to get help if you lost your authenticator app. The arrow that takes you back to the newest message is smaller and sits in the corner.
- Pallio AI is one tap away (1.0.797, 2026-10-10): Pallio AI now sits at the top of the side menu, and first in the + button, so you can reach it from any page. Open it from a persona's chat (⋮ › Ask Pallio about this persona) and it already knows which persona you mean — try "make a quiz from this". The Pallio AI chat says it is your guide, and its replies have their own look so they are easy to tell apart from a persona's cited answers.
- Pallio AI remembers, uploads and talks (1.0.795, 2026-10-09): Tell Pallio AI your goal (an exam, a role) and it remembers it. Ask what it remembers, or tell it to forget. Ask it to add files to a persona and a Choose files button appears right in the chat. Documents you attach to a Pallio chat are still answered from, with page citations. In voice, Pallio can now list your personas and documents, check training, and open the persona builder, a learning path or file upload for you. A new Pallio chat suggests where to start, based on whether you have built a persona yet.
- Pallio AI can now do things for you (1.0.794, 2026-10-09): Ask Pallio AI anything about the app, your plan or your personas, and it answers in plain words. Ask it a subject question and it hands it to the persona whose documents cover it, so the answer comes with page citations. Ask it to build things: a new persona, a learning path on a topic, or adding files to a persona. It opens the right screen, already filled in. When none of your personas cover a question, it can look it up on the web and shows the pages it used. Tap one of its suggestions to keep going.
- Pitch, volume and a tidier voice list (1.0.793, 2026-10-09): Pitch, volume and speed in Audio settings now change the voice reading to you — right away, as you slide. The voice list on iPhone and the web drops duplicates, marks enhanced voices, and keeps novelty voices at the bottom.
- Reading controls that respond right away (1.0.792, 2026-10-09): Changing the voice or speed while something is being read now takes effect immediately. The reader stays on top when you read a PDF, and steps aside while Audio settings is open.
- Choose your reading voice (1.0.791, 2026-10-09): Premium plans can now pick the premium voice or the free device voice in Audio settings, and see the minutes left this month. Pausing, resuming or skipping back no longer uses extra premium minutes, and stopping early no longer counts audio you didn't hear. Documents in other languages are read with your device voice, and on Android the voice you picked is the one that reads. Android now shows its voices in Audio settings, with clear names.
- Saving pictures works on your phone (1.0.778, 2026-10-08): The download button on a full-screen picture now saves it on iPhone and Android (it opens the share sheet — choose Save Image). While a picture is being made you see a soft animated frame where it will appear, and finished pictures keep their real shape.
- Smoother chats (1.0.774, 2026-10-08): Opening a chat goes straight to your conversation and stays on your latest message — no more jumping around while it loads. While a long chat loads you see its outline instead of an empty screen, and new messages glide into place.
- Pictures that match what you asked for (1.0.773, 2026-10-08): When you ask a persona for a picture, it now draws the thing you named — looked up in the persona's documents — instead of drifting toward whatever you talked about last. Pictures show the item itself more clearly: its shape, colors and parts as your documents describe them.
- Images you make show up right away (1.0.772, 2026-10-08): A picture you create in chat now appears in your Library as soon as you open it — no need to restart the app. If you close the app while a picture is being made, it still finishes and arrives in your chat. Signing up with a mistyped email (like "hmail.com")? Pallio now suggests the right address before you continue.
- Updates install by themselves (1.0.771, 2026-10-07): Pallio now updates quietly in the background — no more "restart to update" messages. On the web, an update waits until you are away from the tab and never interrupts typing, an upload or unsaved changes.
- Clearer voice status (1.0.767, 2026-10-07): While voice is looking something up in a persona's documents, the screen now says so, instead of "Listening".
- Smoother voice (1.0.766, 2026-10-07): Voice answers play smoothly on patchy mobile data, without small breaks mid-sentence. The screen stays on "Speaking" until the answer is really finished, instead of flickering to "Listening". Voice connects reliably on the first try, and a call that never connects no longer uses your voice minutes.
- Easier-to-read answers (1.0.765, 2026-10-07): Answers on phones use slightly larger text with more room between lines and paragraphs. Section headings in answers are larger and bolder, and lists read as clean lines instead of grey boxes.
- See how your personas are used (1.0.764, 2026-10-07): Creator Studio now shows quizzes taken, flashcard sets and study documents made from your personas. See how well your documents cover what people ask, and which of your documents are used most. A table shows each persona's people, answers, quizzes, coverage and last activity — open it from the new Stats button on your persona page.
- Follow-up suggestions on every answer (1.0.763, 2026-10-07): Answers now end with follow-up suggestions far more reliably — before, about half of them came without any.
- Suggestions from your documents (1.0.762, 2026-10-07): A persona's starter questions now come from its own documents, so tapping one gets a real answer. Follow-up suggestions stay within what the persona's documents cover. Training many personas at once is much faster — several now train side by side instead of one at a time.
- Clearer training progress (1.0.761, 2026-10-07): Training progress now shows as a small pill above the bottom bar instead of a large panel; tap it for details. A persona built from files you already trained is marked ready right away, instead of showing "0 files" for minutes. Fill in and Build now ask before replacing a name, description or instructions you already entered. Home keeps room for Continue while it loads, so the page no longer jumps.
- Smoother Home (1.0.760, 2026-10-07): Continue and Your Personas now ease into place as they load, instead of popping in. While your personas load, Home shows placeholders instead of an empty row.
- A friendlier way to build a persona (1.0.759, 2026-10-07): Creating a persona now starts like the Create screen: describe your expert, tap the arrow, or pick from example ideas you can shuffle. Tone settings are tucked into their own section until you want them. Follow-up suggestions no longer offer a question you already asked in that chat. Chat messages have comfortable margins again on phones, so they no longer touch the edge of the screen.
- Wider answers and a cinematic welcome (1.0.758, 2026-10-07): On phones, answers now use the full width of the screen, like other chat apps. When you open the app, the ask box and the sections below glide in one after another after your greeting. The bottom bar sits lower and slimmer on iPhone, with less empty space underneath. Search fits the phone screen, and before you type it shows your recent chats and personas instead of an empty page. Larger tab names at the top of Discover and Library.
- Easier-to-read chats and a cleaner persona editor (1.0.757, 2026-10-06): Creating or editing a persona now has the new look: softer fields, larger buttons and clearer headings. Page titles at the top of the phone screen line up with the back arrow. Chat messages are a little larger and easier to read on phones, along with times and source names. The bottom bar has bigger icons and labels.
- A Home that changes with your day (1.0.756, 2026-10-06): Home greets you with a new photo for the morning, the afternoon and the evening, and a fresh one each time you come back. Your greeting now appears word by word when you open the app. Pull down on Home for a bigger stretch, and hold to change the background scene — now for everyone. Pinch, double-tap or scroll to zoom into pictures in chats and in your Library. The side menu has the new look, with Create expert and New chat at the top. Scrolled far back in a chat or a lesson? A round ↓ button takes you straight back to the newest message.
- Easier to read (1.0.754, 2026-10-06): Lists and cards across the app — Library, Chats, Notifications, Discover, Settings, My personas, Search, Saved, Learn and persona pages — use larger, fuller text like the You page.
- Stay signed in, and tidier phone pages (1.0.753, 2026-10-06): Fixed a problem where updating the app could sign you out. Persona pages fit the phone screen again: proper side margins and no sideways scrolling.
- The new design on the web (1.0.752, 2026-10-06): The website app now has the same new design as the phone app, with a new sidebar and a **Create expert** button. Remix and the new Create panel work on the web too. Home's photo now runs to the very top of the screen and stretches when you pull down. The Pallio assistant gets its own branded card instead of a stock photo.
- Better pictures and a clearer voice (1.0.751, 2026-10-06): Learning paths, Continue cards and classes now show the persona's own picture instead of a generic stock photo. Voice: answers are spoken once — the reading voice no longer repeats them at the same time. Voice keeps the exact numbers, rules and exceptions from the answer when it speaks it, and offers the full answer when it is long.
- Persona page fixes (1.0.750, 2026-10-06): Persona pages: the Ask Anything, Share and Remix buttons line up with the rest of the page, and Share shows its label.
- Notification text fix (1.0.749, 2026-10-06): Older "answered" notifications no longer show raw image instructions.
- Search, Remix, templates and more (1.0.748, 2026-10-06): New **Search**: find personas, your chats, your files and learning paths in one place (tap the search icon on Discover). **Remix**: make your own copy of a public persona — its instructions and example questions, never its documents — and edit it. Creators can turn copying off in their persona settings. **Create**: describe the expert you want, try an example, or start from a template (Study Coach, Professional Expert, Research Expert, Clinical Reference, Public Safety). Pick up an unfinished persona from **Drafts**. **You**: Saved (your bookmarked answers), Analytics and Help, plus tidier stat tiles. Settings, My personas, Saved and Analytics follow the new design. Notifications no longer overlap their buttons or show raw image instructions.
- Small layout fixes (1.0.747, 2026-10-06): Home: the ask box shows its whole prompt. You: your photo sits beside your name.
- The finished Pallio design (1.0.746, 2026-10-06): A new typeface across the app (Plus Jakarta Sans), with deeper navy text and Pallio's own blue. Home, Discover, persona pages, Learn, Library and You now follow the final design: larger titles, bigger Continue cards, round persona photos and a roomier ask box.
- Sized like the new design (1.0.745, 2026-10-06): Text now starts at 100% size, matching the new design. If you chose a size before, you keep it (Settings › Display › Text Size). Pinned personas now appear first in **Your Personas** on Home, marked with a pin, instead of above the photo. Your messages in a chat use a soft blue bubble. Learn, persona pages, You, Discover and Library were refined to match the new design more closely.
- The new Pallio design (1.0.742, 2026-10-06): A new look on phones across Home, Discover, Chats, Create, Teach me, Library, persona pages, Notifications and You. Type sized to the new design: bold page and section titles, and easier-to-scan chat text. Home: ask with the mic, attach or camera buttons right in the box, with your personas just below Continue.
- Small fixes (1.0.739, 2026-10-06): More small layout fixes on Home.
- Small fixes (1.0.738, 2026-10-06): Small layout fixes on Home.
- Menu on Home, and Search online fixed (1.0.737, 2026-10-06): The menu (☰) is back at the top-left of Home. Teach me: **Ask** with **Search online** turned on works again. It showed "AI service failed to respond".
- Roomier chat bubbles (1.0.736, 2026-10-06): Answer bubbles use more of the screen width, with a smaller persona picture beside them.
- Chat bubbles and Discover cards (1.0.735, 2026-10-06): Answers now appear in a soft grey bubble next to the persona's picture, with your questions in blue. Discover: search and notifications at the top, no empty gap above the page, and Featured and Popular use the new white cards.
- Closer to the new design (1.0.734, 2026-10-06): New bottom bar: Home · Discover · + · Chats · You on a clean white bar, with a raised blue +. Home opens on the photo with the Pallio logo and a notifications bell. No more floating menu button on the main tabs. Everything else is under **You › More**. Softer cards and filled subject chips on Discover.
- A proper welcome (1.0.733, 2026-10-06): New to Pallio on your phone? A welcome screen shows what it does, with **Get Started**, **I already have an account**, or **Skip** to look around first. It appears once. Asking Pallio "What can you help me with?" now gets a real answer about what Pallio does, instead of a made-up list.
- Your messages are readable again (1.0.732, 2026-10-06): Your own chat messages show as white text on blue on phones. The two previous updates could show them as white text on a light background.
- Your messages are readable again (1.0.731, 2026-10-06): Fixes the previous update, where your own chat messages could show as white text on a light background on phones.
- A brighter chat (1.0.730, 2026-10-06): Your messages now appear in blue bubbles on phones, so it's easy to see your questions next to the answers. A new chat opens on a light welcome card showing how many documents the persona answers from. Chat titles use the same bold typeface as the rest of the app.
- Start a persona by describing it (1.0.729, 2026-10-06): Creating a persona now opens with **Describe the AI expert you want** and a few examples to start from. Tap **Build persona** and Pallio fills in the rest for you to review. Sheets like **Create** use the same bold titles as the rest of the app. Plans: the Monthly / Annual switch no longer runs off the edge on phones with larger text.
- Lighter Progress and Library (1.0.728, 2026-10-06): You: your streak and reviews due now show as bright tiles instead of a dark panel. Library: big **Upload files** and **New folder** buttons on phones, and a clearer Files / Study switch. Teach me: each path row shows the persona's face, so paths with the same photo are easy to tell apart.
- Bolder titles and a tidier Teach me (1.0.727, 2026-10-06): Page titles on phones use a bold, modern typeface that matches the rest of the app. Teach me shows your paths as compact rows: photo, what's next, and a progress bar with your percentage. Explore's view switch now highlights your choice in blue.
- Header buttons fixed (1.0.726, 2026-10-06): Chats and Notifications: the buttons at the top (find people, blocked users, clear all) are visible again on phones.
- Cleaner page headers on phones (1.0.725, 2026-10-06): Library, Teach me, Chats and other pages open with a simple title and description instead of a dark banner, so more of what you came for fits on the screen. A page you open now starts at the top. Opening a persona from far down Explore used to land you halfway down its page.
- A new look for persona pages (1.0.724, 2026-10-06): Persona pages on phones open with a full-width photo, the persona's name, who built it and whether it is grounded in documents, followed by its numbers, **Ask anything** and example questions. New **How answers stay grounded** section: how many documents the persona uses, and how its answers point back to them.
- Images in chat fixed and faster (1.0.722, 2026-10-06): Asking for an image in a chat now shows the image. Some chats answered with an apology instead, and another device could show a line of code where the picture should be. Images are made with a newer model: labels on diagrams are more accurate, and images arrive about twice as fast.
- Answers your way, and a fresh Home and Explore (1.0.720, 2026-10-06): New on the **You** page: **Answer style**. Choose how answers are explained (Simple, Standard or Expert) and their tone (Neutral, Friendly, Professional or Concise). It changes how answers are worded and how long they are; the sources and facts stay the same. Home has a new look on phones: a photo header with your greeting, the ask box right underneath, and a **Continue** row to jump back into recent chats. Explore now shows each persona with its photo, rating and how many sources it is grounded in, and the sort button is no longer cut off on small screens.
- Test your persona (1.0.719, 2026-10-06): New for creators: **Test this persona** on your persona's page. Pallio writes questions from your own documents, asks your persona exactly as a user would, and shows how many it answered correctly and how many named their source — with the expected passage and the actual answer for every question. Each question uses 1 chat.
- Tab bar fix (1.0.718, 2026-10-06): Tapping **You** (or Explore) from a page inside it now opens that tab's main page.
- A new home for everything you make (1.0.717, 2026-10-06): New phone tab bar: **Home · Explore · + · Chats · You**. The + button starts anything — a question, a persona, a learning path or an upload. New **You** page: your plan, how many personas and sources you have, your learning streak and what's due, plus Teach me, Library, My personas and Settings in one place. Compare sources now reads every passage the search found in each document (not just the top two), so it finds answers that sit further down a section — and it shows the exact passages it relied on first.
- Compare sources (1.0.716, 2026-10-06): New: **Compare sources** (chat menu ⋮, or "Compare these sources" under an answer's sources). Ask a question and see the exact passages from each document side by side, where they agree, where they differ, and a short summary that names its sources.
- Sources on every answer (1.0.715, 2026-10-06): Answers that were finished while the app was closed now show where they came from ("Grounded in N sources"), like any other answer. A message you delete stays deleted, even if another of your devices still had an older copy of the chat. The follow-up suggestions under an answer only show sections related to that answer.
- Tidier persona page (1.0.714, 2026-10-05): The numbers on persona pages no longer cut off their labels on phones.
- See where every answer comes from (1.0.713, 2026-10-05): Answers built from your documents now carry a "Grounded in N sources" button. Tap it to see every document the answer read, which ones it quoted, and jump straight to the page. Persona pages are cleaner: a row showing how many sources it has, how many people have chatted with it and its rating (when it has reviews), a bigger "Ask anything" button, and example questions you can tap.
- Teach me builds topics from the right pages (1.0.712, 2026-10-05): With a "Learn about" goal, Teach me now plans its topics from the actual pages that mention it, instead of asking you to pick a book's chapters (which could miss the section).
- Teach me: smaller fixes (1.0.711, 2026-10-05): A new path is named after what you want to learn, unless you give it your own name. Lessons from a persona without documents no longer show an empty Docs button.
- Teach me: learn about anything (1.0.710, 2026-10-05): Teach me: type what you want to learn ("cockloft fires") and Pallio finds every document that covers it, picks them for you, and builds topics only about that. Teach me now works with personas that have no documents (like a Michael Jackson persona teaching singing). Say what you want to learn; the path comes from general knowledge, is clearly labelled as such, and its lessons give you exercises to practise instead of page citations.
- Find in documents, faster (1.0.709, 2026-10-05): The Find button no longer runs off the edge of the screen on phones. Find in documents is about twice as fast on a large library, and a second search is almost instant.
- Find every mention in your documents (1.0.708, 2026-10-05): New: **Find in documents** (chat menu ⋮). Type a word or phrase and get every document that mentions it, with how many times and on which page — tap a result to open that page. Export the list as a spreadsheet. Asking the chat for "all the documents that mention…" now offers it too. Answers find the right chapter more often when you use abbreviations your documents define (for example "PD" for private dwelling), and signal definitions like 10-75 are found directly. When an answer is finished after you closed the app, your question no longer shows up twice in the chat. The "Finishing your answer in the background" line now scrolls into view instead of sitting under the message box. Tapping a notification while the chat is already open now scrolls to the answer. Message times are no longer cut off, and your recent chats list no longer drops chats with shared personas. The "update ready" message no longer offers an older version than the one you already have. Plans: the plans sheet opens at your current plan, its title is no longer cut off on phones, and the top plan no longer shows an upgrade link.
- Questions survive closing the app (1.0.707, 2026-10-05): If you close Pallio right after sending a question, the answer is still finished and waiting for you when you come back. An answer finished while the app was closed now shows up on all your devices, not only the one you asked on. While an answer is still being finished in the background, the chat says so under your question: "Finishing your answer in the background — it will appear here automatically." Answers that stick to your documents are now more careful: a detail the cited page doesn't contain is removed, or replaced with a plain "the documents don't state this".
- More careful answers from your documents (1.0.706, 2026-10-05): For personas that answer only from their documents, Pallio now double-checks each answer against the pages it cites and removes details those pages don't support — or tells you to check the page when it can't be sure. When two of your documents disagree, the answer shows both versions with their sources instead of quietly picking one. When your documents only partly cover a question, the answer says so up front.
- Complete lists from long documents (1.0.700, 2026-10-05): Ask for a full list ("give me a full list of…", "list all…") and Pallio now reads the whole document it comes from, so items in the middle of a long section are no longer skipped.
- Long videos from your phone (1.0.699, 2026-10-04): Recordings picked from your phone's files are no longer limited to 25 MB: videos and audio up to 2 GB upload in pieces and are turned into a transcript.
- Personas from a file, and audio & video as knowledge (1.0.696, 2026-10-04): Upload a document and tap "Fill in": Pallio drafts the persona's name, description and instructions from it. "Create a persona from this" on a shared file does it for you. Add audio or video (MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, MOV and more) to a persona or a chat. Pallio turns it into a transcript with times, so answers can quote what was said and when. Recording length per file: Free 10 minutes, Starter 30, Pro 60, Pro+ and Premium 120. Each recording counts as one document upload.
- Usage shows up sooner (1.0.695, 2026-10-04): Right after signing in, your daily usage now appears within seconds instead of up to a minute later.
- No more doubled replies (1.0.694, 2026-10-04): Quick replies (like a greeting) no longer appear twice. "Chat with anyone" chats stay on screen after the first reply instead of reloading.
- Smoother chats from Home (1.0.693, 2026-10-04): Starting a chat from Home no longer flashes a blank loading screen or shows the answer twice.
- Draw on your questions too (1.0.691, 2026-10-04): The pen now works on "Your questions" (Ask and Why it matters answers), not just the lesson board.
- Answer actions, tidied (1.0.689, 2026-10-04): New Copy button under every answer (copies clean text, without citation markers). Bigger, easier-to-tap buttons for listen, share, save and reactions; deleting a message now asks first. The small chat window shows "7 left" so the persona's name has room.
- Better suggestions (1.0.687, 2026-10-04): "Similar personas" now suggests personas on the same subject (finance with finance), and hides when there is no good match. Discover opens with a varied, hand-picked selection before trending personas.
- Back goes back (1.0.684, 2026-10-04): Back now returns you to exactly where you were — the lesson, class or persona — instead of Discover or the start of Teach me. A fresh discussion page: the topic up top, a quick "Ask" button for the persona, starter questions, and a chat-style box to post. Similar personas now show next to a persona's discussion.
- Question banks and study controls (1.0.683, 2026-10-04): Creators can have quizzes ask their own questions word for word, or mix them with new ones. These questions are free — they never use a quiz from your allowance. Study together: pause a session, end it, or make a new link so the old one stops working. People who open an ended link see that it's over. Fixed citation markers that appeared inside words in flashcards and quizzes, and words that went missing when read aloud.
- Fresher Recent, documents and flashcards (1.0.681, 2026-10-04): Recent in the menu now shows your Teach me lessons alongside chats, grouped by day, with All / Chats / Lessons filters. Each row leads with the persona or lesson name; lessons show your last check score and reading time. The Knowledge base list is cleaner: one tap opens a document, file types are marked, and long names no longer get cut off. Flashcards keep the card's title on the back, read better when long, and the buttons fit on one row.
- Study together (1.0.680, 2026-10-04): In a lesson, tap More › Study together and send the link. Friends follow your screen live — where you are, your highlights and your pen — read-only, on their own phones. Guests can scroll on their own anytime and tap Follow to catch up. Anyone can ask the persona their own questions from their own account.
- Quiz templates from your documents (1.0.679, 2026-10-04): Creators can turn a document the persona already has (a past paper or question set) into a quiz template — no re-upload.
- Quiz settings that do what they say (1.0.678, 2026-10-04): Quizzes now mix every question type the creator turned on (true/false, choose-all-that-apply and more), not just one. The quiz count starts at what fits your plan and what you have left today. Exam Mode is really timed, hides hints and shows results at the end. A creator's chosen study modes and default mode now apply. Settings that had no effect are hidden from the persona editor, and the "Team Quiz" option is gone until it is real.
- No more repeated quiz questions (1.0.677, 2026-10-04): Quizzes no longer ask the same question twice in different words, even after a wrong answer. Checks skip parts of a lesson where the documents had no answer.
- Checks that know your lesson (1.0.676, 2026-10-04): Check now asks about the lesson you just read and the questions you asked — no repeats, and it loads in one go. A whole Check uses one quiz from your allowance instead of one per question. After a Check, see what to look at again and jump straight to that part of the lesson. Each lesson shows your reading time, last score and best score. "Challenge me" gives wider questions from the documents.
- Steps become flashcards, free (1.0.675, 2026-10-04): Any answer or lesson with titled steps now has a "Flashcards" button: the steps become a deck instantly, with their sources, and open for study. It uses no AI and no allowance — the cards come straight from the answer you already have. The deck is saved to your Library. A "Copy" button copies the steps as a clean numbered list.
- Tidier answers (1.0.674, 2026-10-04): Answers from personas with private documents no longer end with an empty "Source:" heading.
- Lessons read edge to edge (1.0.673, 2026-10-04): Your text size, font and spacing now apply to the whole lesson, including your questions and the intro. Tap "Why it matters", Ask or Teach more and a card appears straight away where the answer will go, showing progress. On phones the lesson uses the full width of the screen, so there is more room for the words.
- Small fixes (1.0.672, 2026-10-04): Chalk and other dark boards: step numbers and card edges are now easy to see. Starter questions, new folders and new topics: the add button no longer slides off the screen on phones. The drawing colours all show on the toolbar, including black.
- Make lessons yours (1.0.670, 2026-10-04): New "Board & text" settings in Teach me: pick a board (Paper, Focus, Sepia, Grid, Chalk, Night) or your own colour. Choose the font, including an easy-read option, plus text size and line spacing. Lessons are roomier by default. Chalk boards now show every heading, card and step clearly. The drawing toolbar fits on phones: colours sit on their own row. Tapping a citation opens the page straight away, without the screen flickering. Cards in "Made from your files" show their cover photo clearly, with the kind marked by its badge. The persona editor opens on a new header: cover, picture, the full name, and a "Persona strength" guide to what to add next.
- Find your way around a lesson (1.0.666, 2026-10-03): A new "In this lesson" list at the top jumps to any part, heading or question. When you ask a question or tap Teach more, the page now takes you straight to the new section. Hide or remove the sections you added; the lesson itself always stays. On iPhone, panels that slide up from the bottom now sit above the keyboard while you type.
- Typing in pop-up panels fixed (1.0.664, 2026-10-03): Typing in a panel that slides up from the bottom (like the two-step code) no longer closes the keyboard after each character. The panel now sits right above the keyboard, so you can see what you're typing. Settings no longer resets a step you're in the middle of.
- Easier two-step setup (1.0.662, 2026-10-03): Turning on two-step verification no longer asks you to sign out first: confirm it's you with Google, Apple or your password, and setup continues. A clearer Sign-in & security page that shows whether two-step verification is on.
- Two-step verification (1.0.661, 2026-10-03): You can now protect your account with a code from an authenticator app: Settings › Sign-in & security › Two-step verification. Once it's on, signing in asks for the 6-digit code after your usual sign-in.
- Buttons show they're working (1.0.659, 2026-10-03): Buttons that save, share, export, delete, upload or start something now show a spinner and can't be pressed twice while they work. You feel a light tap when you press them, and a short buzz if something goes wrong.
- Featured picks on Discover (1.0.658, 2026-10-03): Discover has a Featured row picked by the Pallio team, a varied place to start learning: maths, biology, business English, law, literature, careers, gardening and history.
- The premium voice now plays on the web (1.0.657, 2026-10-03): On pallio.ai, read aloud now uses the premium voice your plan includes, instead of falling back to your device voice. Numbered key points in lessons and answers now keep each point's explanation inside its card.
- Read aloud reads the whole lesson (1.0.656, 2026-10-03): Lessons are now read from the very first line, including intro boxes and section titles. Pressing Listen keeps the player visible; it only tucks away when you scroll yourself.
- A better read-aloud player (1.0.655, 2026-10-03): Read aloud no longer reads out document names, page numbers or line references, on any screen. New player controls: pause, back, forward, a progress bar you can tap to jump, and speed from 0.75× to 2×. In lessons, the paragraph being read is highlighted and the page follows along. Scroll down in a lesson and the tools and player tuck into a small bubble you can drag; tap it to bring them back. You can select and copy text on your phone again. Starting a podcast or video pauses the reader, and starting the reader pauses them, so two voices never play at once.
- More variety on Discover and Home (1.0.654, 2026-10-03): Discover, Home and New path now mix subjects instead of showing several near-identical personas in a row. New path shows six of your personas first, with Show all, so suggestions from Discover stay in view.
- A clearer Teach me screen while it loads (1.0.653, 2026-10-03): Teach me no longer says it isn't available while it is still loading; you see a placeholder until it's ready. If Pallio can't be reached, Teach me says so and offers Try again. Signed out? Teach me now explains what it does and lets you sign in or create a free account.
- Learn from personas on Discover (1.0.652, 2026-10-03): New path now suggests popular personas from Discover that have documents, so you can start a course even if none of your own personas has files yet. Paid personas show their price. If you pick one you haven't bought, the app says so and takes you to its page, instead of failing to read its documents. A shared class built on a paid persona now tells you up front how many messages are free before you're asked to buy it.
- Canceling sign-in no longer shows an error (1.0.651, 2026-10-03): If you open Sign in with Apple, Google or Microsoft and then change your mind, the sign-in screen simply stays as it was. When a sign-in really does fail, you now see a short message asking you to try again instead of a technical code.
- Private documents, answered privately (1.0.650, 2026-10-03): When a creator keeps some or all of a persona's documents private, your answer is now prepared entirely on our servers — those documents never reach your device While it's prepared, the chat shows what's happening instead of a generic "still working"
- Groundwork for server-side answers (1.0.649, 2026-10-02): Preparing answers from private documents entirely on our servers (testing first)
- Private knowledge stays on the server (1.0.648, 2026-10-02): When a creator keeps a persona's documents private, Teach me builds its course outline on our servers — the documents themselves never reach your device
- Shared and private sources side by side (1.0.646, 2026-10-02): When a creator shares only some documents, answers still use all of them, but only the shared ones can be seen or opened Private documents appear as "A private document" under an answer
- Private documents stay private (1.0.645, 2026-10-02): When a creator keeps a persona's documents private, Teach me no longer lists or opens them — lessons say they're taught from the creator's private sources Answers from those personas no longer show leftover citation fragments Inside a lesson the tab bar steps aside so the lesson toolbar has the space
- Sources stay on older answers (1.0.643, 2026-10-02): Earlier answers in a chat keep their list of sources
- A smoother first launch (1.0.642, 2026-10-02): On a new device your layout and plan show correctly within seconds instead of after a restart An old "What's new" note no longer pops up on new devices
- Tour fits on a phone (1.0.641, 2026-10-02): The tour's buttons stay on screen on smaller phones
- A guided tour for new members (1.0.639, 2026-10-02): New members get a short tour of what Pallio can do, with real screens — reopen it any time from Settings › Help › Take the tour The Sign up free button is readable again, and the sign-in buttons match
- Faster, more reliable start on iPad (1.0.638, 2026-10-02): The app no longer waits on notification and splash-screen checks before it opens
- Tidier quiz results and Teach me setup (1.0.636, 2026-10-02): Quiz results in chat are easier to read on a phone You can clear and retype a new path's name in Teach me
- Small quiz and flashcard touches (1.0.635, 2026-10-02): A quiz you replaced with a new one now says so, instead of looking paused Flashcards say "Tap to flip" on phones
- Sign in, settings and library pop-ups as sheets (1.0.634, 2026-10-02): Sign in, edit profile, plans and checkout, library pickers and the rest of the remaining pop-ups now slide up from the bottom on phones Quizzes and flashcards without a topic are named after the persona instead of "the subject of…"
- A clearer quiz review (1.0.633, 2026-10-02): Quiz review shows your score, what you got right and what you missed at a glance, and fits a phone screen
- Every pop-up is a sheet now (1.0.631, 2026-10-02): Quiz reviews, sharing, reports, reviews, invites, downloads and dozens of other pop-ups now slide up from the bottom on phones Closing any of them slides it away, and a pop-up opened on top of another steps the first one back

- Study flashcards straight from a lesson (1.0.594, 2026-10-01): "Study now" on lesson flashcards opens them right away, with nothing covering the cards If the lesson's microphone doesn't catch your question, it now tells you so you can try again
- Louder, clearer voice (1.0.593, 2026-10-01): The voice assistant has its own volume control, up to 200%, because the phone's buttons only change call volume while it listens
- Teach me does it all in one place (1.0.592, 2026-10-01): Check and Review now run right inside Teach me, with instant feedback and sources — no trip to the chat Make flashcards or a podcast from any lesson without leaving it; they are saved to your Library Add resources to a path or a topic: YouTube and Vimeo videos and audio play in the app, links open in its browser If a document behind a lesson changes, the lesson tells you and can refresh itself, keeping the old version Home's highlighted rows are rounded cards with proper spacing

- Cleaner chapter lists (1.0.581, 2026-10-01): The chapter list for a textbook or manual now shows its real chapters, each with the sections it covers, and leaves out the cover pages, contents and acknowledgments If a document's text can't be read, Teach me names it and builds your path from the others
- Choose what a Teach me path covers (1.0.580, 2026-10-01): When a persona has many documents, you now pick the ones to learn from instead of the path using whichever came first For a textbook or manual with chapters, you choose the chapters before the topics are planned, so a long book is no longer cut short Swipe a topic left to remove it, both when reviewing a new path and while editing one
- Archive a Teach me path (1.0.579, 2026-10-01): You can now archive a path you want to set aside. Its reviews, reminders and pop quizzes stop, your progress is kept, and Restore brings it back Archive and Delete now sit at the bottom of every path, instead of being hidden in Edit Archived paths don't count toward your plan's path limit Review "helpful" counts can only change by your own vote
- Deleting a shared path removes its class (1.0.578, 2026-09-30): Deleting a Teach me path you shared as a class now takes the class down too, so its link stops working. Anyone who already added your class keeps their own copy and progress
- Quicker path setup and creator reputation that counts (1.0.577, 2026-09-30): Starting "Teach me" from a persona now goes straight to that persona, so the rest of the setup is right there. Tap Change to pick a different one New path is laid out as three clear steps, and it explains what "Counts as known at" means Tapping a persona in Explore opens its profile, where you can start a chat or a Teach me path The menu button slides out of the way while you scroll down and comes back when you scroll up Likes, copies, reactions and review votes count toward creators' reputation again, and voting on a review no longer shows an error
- Tidier path editing and notifications you can trust (1.0.576, 2026-09-30): Editing a Teach me path no longer squeezes the text: each topic keeps the full width, the controls sit underneath, and renaming has proper Save and Cancel buttons Paths label each section ("Section 1 · 5 topics") so the course reads at a glance New messages, likes on your personas and new followers now show up in your notifications, and only you can see your notifications
- A clearer Teach me path (1.0.575, 2026-09-30): Each section of a path shows its progress and folds away, and topics are compact numbered rows with a marker for new, learning, due and mastered Tap a topic to open its lesson, check and practice options — the one to do next is marked and already open
- Photos in messages (1.0.574, 2026-09-30): Send photos in direct messages with the + button — each photo is checked for safety before the other person sees it Messages to people no longer count against your AI chats, and running out of AI chats never stops you messaging someone Removing a conversation now only removes it from your list; the other person keeps it
- Pop quizzes on Telegram (1.0.569, 2026-09-30): Connect Telegram from Teach me, then turn on "Also on Telegram" to get your pop quizzes there too — send /unlink in Telegram or tap Disconnect to stop
- Better matches from your documents (1.0.568, 2026-09-30): Questions find the right passage more often: plural and singular words now match, and a book's overall subject no longer drowns out the words that make your question specific Pop quizzes can also arrive by email — turn on "Also by email" next to the pop quiz time in Teach me Disconnecting a cloud drive, or deleting a persona that uses one, now removes everything it synced
- Cleaner flashcards and cards (1.0.567, 2026-09-30): Flashcards never show "the document doesn't say" as an answer; if a persona's documents don't cover a topic, it tells you instead of making empty cards Long flashcard answers fit on the card, so their sources are no longer hidden Rounded cards keep their rounded corners on iPhone
- Nothing lost when you switch apps (1.0.566, 2026-09-30): If you leave the app while flashcards, a document, an image or a podcast are being made, they are finished for you and appear in the chat — no more "couldn't generate" message for work that actually succeeded
- Learn together (1.0.565, 2026-09-30): Share any Teach me path as a class — by link, text message or your phone's share sheet — and add classes others share See how many people are learning with a persona and how well they're doing, once enough people are studying Tap Discuss on a topic to ask other learners about it; persona owners can remove posts and block people Spreadsheets open as tables, and Excel, Word and other files open from citations again
- Smoother and cleaner on iPhone (1.0.564, 2026-09-30): The top of the screen stays readable when you scroll — no more text under the clock and battery Notification cards show their full outline, and tabs slide their underline when you switch
- Podcasts live in Study (1.0.563, 2026-09-30): Library has two tabs, Files and Study; every podcast you made or saved is under Study › Podcasts

- Tidier Teach me cards (1.0.560, 2026-09-30): Path cards keep their progress ring readable over the cover image, and the Teach and Check buttons line up
- Teach me with your personas' faces, and truthful sources (1.0.558, 2026-09-30): Teach me paths show the persona's picture and cover image, what's next, and rounder, springier buttons Explore has a Browse by subject row with photos; Library and onboarding got photos too Source cards under an answer only say "cited" when the answer actually used that file Follow-up suggestions no longer show scraps like spreadsheet cells or sheet names
- Send button back in the half-screen chat (1.0.557, 2026-09-30): On phones, the Home message box no longer covers the send button of a chat opened over Home Home shortcuts now show photos for Continue learning and Add your material
- Exact totals from your spreadsheets (1.0.556, 2026-09-30): Ask for a total, average, count, highest or lowest in a spreadsheet and the answer is calculated over every row, not estimated from a few Works with filters and groups, like "total amount by region" or "how many rows where status is open" Fixed personas whose files were added from your Library answering without reading those files
- Spreadsheets keep their column names (1.0.555, 2026-09-30): Every row of an uploaded or synced spreadsheet now carries its column names, so answers about a row name the right column Fixed uploaded sheets with a blank header cell putting values under the wrong column
- More accurate answers from your documents (1.0.554, 2026-09-30): Answers now read the right book even when its file name has underscores, instead of saying the topic isn't in your documents Sources show each file's real name Library marks files whose text couldn't be read, so you know they can't be searched
- Everything you make is kept in Library (1.0.548, 2026-09-29): Finished quizzes, flashcard sets, images and documents are saved to Library automatically Clearing a chat no longer removes them — including podcasts, which you can now remove from Library yourself Tapping Teach again opens the lesson you already have instead of paying for a new one Swipe left or right to turn pages in the document reader, and quiz yourself on any chapter from Contents
- Meet Pip, and read from Library (1.0.546, 2026-09-29): Pip, Pallio's new study buddy, tells you what to learn next and cheers when you master a topic Open any file in Library to read it; long documents pick up where you left off Books with chapters get a Contents list to jump straight to a section

- Older citations open the right page (1.0.537, 2026-09-29): Tapping a citation in an earlier answer now opens that answer's own source, not the page from your latest question
- Voice keeps listening (1.0.536, 2026-09-29): Voice keeps hearing you after a long answer — if the microphone stops on your phone, it restarts on its own Push to talk, muting and ending a conversation now give a gentle buzz, and so does an answer arriving
- Voice answers once (1.0.535, 2026-09-29): Voice says it is looking something up instead of going quiet, and speaks each answer once even if you repeat the question while it checks
- Your library in the persona creator (1.0.534, 2026-09-29): When you create a persona you can now add files you already have in My Library — no need to upload them again In My Library, "Attach to persona" now also offers a new persona with the chosen files
- Tablets fit the screen (1.0.532, 2026-09-29): On tablets the side menu no longer sits under the status bar, so its collapse button works, and its bottom row stays clear of the navigation bar On tablets the chat screen also stays clear of the status bar and the navigation bar
- A simpler message bar (1.0.530, 2026-09-29): The orb is gone from the message bar — tap the voice button to talk, and Think Deeper keeps its own button

- Clearer suggestions (1.0.528, 2026-09-29): Suggestion buttons no longer show "3x" or "5x" — quizzes, flashcards, documents and images each use their own daily allowance, never extra answers
- Truer answer details (1.0.527, 2026-09-29): "How I found this" now shows how well your documents actually matched — well-sourced answers no longer show "low" Source cards no longer show a wrong page number A long answer on the back of a flashcard stays inside the card and scrolls
- Signing out leaves nothing behind (1.0.524, 2026-09-29): Signing out now clears everything from the previous account — chats and usage — so the next person to sign in on the same device starts fresh The speaker button on answers uses the natural reading voice when your plan includes it, and now works on Android Answers read aloud no longer read out page and line numbers or file names Push to talk hears you on the first press The document viewer's title bar is readable in dark mode when you pick the Light reading style
- Answers keep their details (1.0.522, 2026-09-28): Answers keep 'How I found this', the premium-answer label and Think Deeper after you reopen a chat If a document can't download, you can try again right from the viewer
- Sources mode that always works (1.0.519, 2026-09-28): After today's answers are used up, suggestion chips and quick prompts also give you the exact passages and pages, like typed questions Plans now open on top of the chat instead of behind it The sources-only notice can be folded into a single line
- Only what you ask for (1.0.518, 2026-09-28): Pallio no longer makes flashcards, images or documents you did not ask for, so they never use your daily allowance by surprise — tap a suggestion when you want one
- Switch chats freely (1.0.516, 2026-09-28): Switching to another persona while something is being made no longer blocks the chat you switch to If you leave a chat before your question was sent, Pallio finishes the answer in that chat much sooner A persona's instructions are only shown to its owner in the persona menu
- Cleaner chats when you switch personas (1.0.515, 2026-09-28): Switching to another persona while something is being made no longer shows the other chat's messages Requests from the Create menu read as "Create a presentation on …" instead of an internal command
- Your results always land in the right chat (1.0.512, 2026-09-28): Flashcards, documents, images and podcasts made in one chat stay in that chat, even if you switch to another persona while they are being made When something finishes while you are elsewhere, you get a message with a button to open it Document and flashcard buttons no longer squeeze into single letters on phones
- A cleaner plans page and usage panel (1.0.510, 2026-09-28): The plans page marks Starter as most popular and Premium as recommended, with prices that animate when you switch to annual Daily Usage bars fill in smoothly in one consistent colour, turning amber and red as you near a limit The floating chat button is gone — start a chat from New conversation, the home message box or voice

- Voice checks in before it ends (1.0.506, 2026-09-28): When nobody has spoken for a while, voice asks if you are still there, then ends to save your minutes — tap or speak to stay A heads-up when about 2 minutes of voice are left While voice works on an answer, it shows what it is doing: understanding, searching, reading, writing Settings › Voice explains how minutes are counted, with a new 90-second quiet setting
- Clearer status bar and voice minutes (1.0.504, 2026-09-28): On Android, the time and battery icons at the top are readable again on light pages Voice shows the minutes you have left counting down, and says plainly when today's minutes are used up Page titles line up with the text under them, and long pinned persona names show in full on two lines
- Read PDFs aloud, better on wide screens (1.0.502, 2026-09-28): A Read button in the PDF viewer reads the document aloud from the page you're on. On wide screens like car displays, the message box on Home and Discover is no longer cut off, and chat headers stay clear of the top system bar.
- Web search on every plan that includes it (1.0.501, 2026-09-28): Professional Plus and Premium now get real-time web search when it's turned on for a chat and the persona allows it — it was missing on those plans.
- Voice keeps your place, fuller answers (1.0.500, 2026-09-28): Tapping a source during a voice conversation opens it on top — close it and you're right back in the conversation. The voice screen can show the full written answer, not just the spoken summary, and shows its sources for every answer. Switching between hands-free and push to talk mid-sentence no longer leaves Pallio waiting. The free plan's "premium answers left today" count is accurate again.
- Updated pay-as-you-go prices (1.0.499, 2026-09-28): Optional pay-as-you-go prices past your daily limit now reflect what each action costs to run: $0.02 per chat, API request or bot message, $0.06 per image, $0.08 per Think Deeper answer and $0.25 per podcast. Nothing changes unless you turn pay-as-you-go on, and your monthly cap still applies.
- A calmer heading font and consistent switches (1.0.498, 2026-09-28): Headings and greetings use a new, calmer serif that reads better at large sizes. Every on/off switch in the app now looks the same — blue when on. Prepaid answer packs are paused for now; Sources mode still keeps your documents searchable after your daily limit. The pricing page explains what happens at your daily limit and what voice minutes are.
- Keep going after your daily limit (1.0.497, 2026-09-28): When today's answers run out, you can keep asking a persona that has documents: Pallio shows the exact passages and pages that match, until full answers come back. Prepaid answer packs (100, 300 or 1,000 answers) keep full answers going after your daily allowance — on the web for now. A heads-up when you reach 80% of today's answers. Voice answer sources now open at the highlighted passage, like in the chat. Tap a persona's name at the top of a chat to switch personas. Page titles no longer sit under the menu button on phones.
- Stay signed in after updates (1.0.496, 2026-09-28): Fixed the app sometimes showing you as signed out right after an update installed in the background.
- Spoken quizzes and voice settings (1.0.495, 2026-09-28): Say “quiz me on …” and Pallio quizzes you out loud from your documents — it marks each answer, explains it, and keeps score. It counts toward your daily quiz limit, and a summary is saved in that persona's chat. Ask for “10 flashcards on …” and the setup opens with 10 ready. New Settings › Voice: your voice minutes, the natural reading voice allowance, talk mode, Pallio's voice, reading full answers aloud, and when to end a quiet conversation. Long spoken answers can now be read in full by the reading voice — without using voice minutes. Daily usage and plans now show voice minutes.
- Sources in voice, voice in every chat (1.0.493, 2026-09-28): Voice answers now show their sources — tap one to open the exact page. The blue voice button is in every persona chat's message box, like on Home. When your voice minutes run out, Pallio says so plainly, shows when they come back, and lets you keep going by typing or dictating.
- Cleaner buttons (1.0.492, 2026-09-28): Purchase buttons on persona pages and the presentation maker's buttons now match the rest of the app. On the voice screen, a long persona name no longer pushes the “answer with sources” button onto two lines.
- Voice that respects your minutes (1.0.491, 2026-09-28): A voice conversation ends by itself after 3 quiet minutes, so a screen left open no longer uses up your voice minutes. Background noise is no longer sent to a persona as a question, so it can't use up a chat. Asking a question by voice from inside that persona's chat now always gets an answer. In push to talk, the screen shows what Pallio is doing instead of “Muted”.
- Talk from inside a chat (1.0.490, 2026-09-28): On phones, tapping the orb in a chat now starts a voice conversation with that persona. The reading bar no longer covers the message box while a document is read aloud.
- Persona picker fits on phones (1.0.489, 2026-09-28): The persona list on Home now opens fully below the top of the screen, so its heading and first persona are never hidden.
- Talk with any persona (1.0.488, 2026-09-28): Talk out loud with any persona, not just Pallio: pick a persona and tap the voice button. Every answer comes from that persona's documents, and the sources are waiting in the chat — say “show me the sources” to open them. Choose hands-free or push to talk (hold the button while you speak) on the voice screen. Premium plans can have documents read aloud in the natural voice on every version of the app. Fixed a blue box that appeared inside the message box while typing.
- The assistant picks the right persona, and a natural reading voice (1.0.487, 2026-09-28): When you name a persona, Pallio opens exactly that one — it checks Discover too, and asks which one you mean if several match. Your voice conversations with Pallio are now saved in the Pallio assistant chat, so you can scroll back through them. Premium plans hear documents read aloud in a natural, human-sounding voice. After the monthly reading allowance, reading continues with your device voice. While Pallio answers, the progress line now says plainly what it is doing — looking through your documents, finding the right pages, writing your answer. “Force re-embed” is now “Rebuild knowledge”, with a clearer explanation. You can rebuild a persona once every 30 minutes. Cleaner loading and Microsoft sign-in screens.
- Better at finding your documents by voice (1.0.486, 2026-09-28): Asking for a document by voice works even when a short code is misheard (like “EV 27”) — Pallio matches the number and asks if several fit.
- Consistent dark mode everywhere (1.0.485, 2026-09-28): Dark mode is now the same neutral charcoal on every screen, including Settings, your plan usage, the voice picker, webhooks and subscription screens. Notifications are cleaner: unread ones show a dot instead of a blue outline. Audio settings use the same switches as the rest of the app. Asking the assistant “What plan am I on?” now answers with your plan and today's usage.
- A more capable assistant, a slimmer message bar (1.0.484, 2026-09-28): Ask Pallio about your plan and today's usage, to make a quiz, flashcards or a podcast from one of your personas, or to open a persona. Ask Pallio to read a whole document aloud — it finds it, confirms, and reads it with your device voice (free, no voice minutes). A reading bar lets you stop anytime. You can also change the reading voice. The message bar in chats is slimmer, with rounder corners and smaller buttons; Send appears once you type.
- Voice polish (1.0.483, 2026-09-28): While Pallio asks which persona you mean, the voice screen now says so instead of “Persona not found”.
- Voice keeps talking (1.0.482, 2026-09-28): Asking one of your personas by voice now keeps the voice conversation open and reads you the answer. The voice screen makes room for results: the orb shrinks and the persona cards are smaller. The orb now carries the Pallio logo and changes colour with what Pallio is doing: blue listening, indigo speaking, amber working. If several of your personas match a name (like “FDNY”), Pallio asks which one you mean instead of guessing.
- A new voice screen (1.0.481, 2026-09-28): Talking with Pallio has a fresh look: the orb moves with the voice, captions show what was said, and you can mute yourself. When Pallio searches Discover you see the personas it found — tap one to open it. Asking one of your personas by voice now keeps the conversation going and reads you the answer, with a link to the full answer and its sources.
- Talk to Pallio from Home (1.0.480, 2026-09-27): On Home, the send button becomes a Talk button while the box is empty — tap it to talk with Pallio. Start typing and it turns back into Send.
- Tap the orb to talk (1.0.479, 2026-09-27): In your Pallio assistant, tapping the orb in the message bar now starts a live voice conversation, like a voice assistant should.
- A Talk button for your assistant (1.0.478, 2026-09-27): Your Pallio assistant now has its own Talk button (the waveform next to the mic) to start a live voice conversation. The mic menu no longer gets cut off in the smaller chat panel, and Android's Back button closes it.
- Talk with Pallio (1.0.477, 2026-09-27): In your Pallio assistant, tap the mic and choose Talk with Pallio for a live voice conversation. Ask it out loud to find personas on Discover, ask one of your personas a question, or open a page. Free accounts get 10 voice minutes to try it; paid plans get daily voice minutes.
- Your assistant can find and ask personas (1.0.476, 2026-09-27): Ask Pallio things like “Is there anything on Discover for calculus 3?” and it shows matching personas you can tap. Say “Ask my FDNY persona what the roof rope is” and it takes the question to that persona, which answers with its citations. “Open my library” or “Take me to settings” opens that page.
- Tablets and car screens use their full width (1.0.475, 2026-09-27): On tablets and car displays Pallio is no longer held in portrait; phones keep the portrait layout.
- Add photos to a persona (1.0.474, 2026-09-27): Add to knowledge base now takes photos: snap a handbook page, flyer or label and its words become part of the persona, searchable and cited like any document.
- Check your voice note before it sends (1.0.473, 2026-09-27): Voice notes now turn into text in the message box first, so you can read and fix the words before sending. Clips with no speech in them (silence, a beep, a hum) are caught instead of being turned into made-up words.
- Long voice clips no longer vanish (1.0.472, 2026-09-27): Sending a long voice clip no longer makes your message disappear. If a clip is too large to keep in the chat, the message stays, the AI still hears it, and a short note says it was not kept.
- Top creators, and phone photos that stick (1.0.471, 2026-09-27): Photos from your phone no longer disappear after you send them — the chat keeps a lighter copy, the AI still sees the full photo. New Top creators page: see who people chat with most, with a podium for the top three. On wide screens, chats show the persona beside the conversation — picture, creator, and how many people chatted. A slim loading line runs across the top while a page opens. In Conversations, + starts a new conversation and the shield opens your blocked people list.
- Menu button stays in place (1.0.470, 2026-09-27): The menu button no longer slides away while you scroll, so it is always there when you need it.
- Tidier conversations (1.0.469, 2026-09-27): Earlier threads now sit behind a small “earlier threads” link under each conversation; tap a thread to open it. Threads are named after their own document or first question, instead of a date or the wrong file. Personas you’ve liked all show under My Personas › Liked, including ones from other creators. The menu button slides out of the way while you scroll down and comes back when you scroll up.
- Photos in chat work again (1.0.468, 2026-09-27): Sending a photo in a chat works again — the answer no longer fails with an error. Your question is sent once, so answers stay focused on what you just asked.
- Roomier chats, a slimmer message bar (1.0.465, 2026-09-27): On phones, answers now use the full width of the screen; the persona's picture sits beside its name instead of in a column. The message bar is slimmer: it starts as one line and grows as you type, with all its buttons still in place. Android's Back button now closes the open menu, sheet or chat first, before leaving the screen. The Home background pattern is chosen in Settings › Display, and scrolling on a computer no longer changes it by accident. After an answer that said the documents didn't cover something, follow-up questions now get a fresh look instead of repeating it.
- Neutral greys everywhere (1.0.464, 2026-09-27): Dark mode is now a neutral charcoal on every screen, including chats, menus and cards, instead of navy panels. Light mode greys (your chat bubbles, source cards, chips) are a clean neutral grey instead of a warm tint.
- A cleaner, calmer look (1.0.463, 2026-09-27): Light mode now sits on a clean white page, with crisp thin borders around sections instead of grey shading. Dark mode uses a neutral charcoal instead of blue-black, so pictures and text read more naturally. Rows of persona cards no longer hug the left edge of the screen. Press and hold a persona card for its options instead of the phone's image menu.
- Suggested sections answer from the section (1.0.462, 2026-09-27): Tapping a suggested section in a long document now answers from that section, instead of saying the document doesn't cover it.
- A new My Personas (1.0.461, 2026-09-27): My Personas shows your personas as picture cards with their status, training progress and chat counts, with Chat and Edit right underneath. Fixed a mix-up where a copied persona could appear as the persona it was copied from.
- Tidier subjects (1.0.460, 2026-09-27): Textbook study companions are now all listed under Education, and subject filters only show subjects that have personas in them.
- Real chat counts for creators (1.0.458, 2026-09-27): Persona cards and pages now show how many people have chatted with a persona, and Discover has a Most chatted rail. Creator Studio shows real numbers: people who chatted, answers given, a 30-day chart and your top personas. Your own chats aren't counted.
- Sources open, suggestions find their section, Stripe returns to the app (1.0.456, 2026-09-27): Every source under an answer can be opened again, including files whose names start with a number. Tapping a suggested section now searches the document it came from, so it finds that section. Finishing Stripe setup from the app brings you back to the app instead of a signed-out browser page.
- Smoother persona cards (1.0.455, 2026-09-27): Persona cards ease in as they load, the picture zooms gently on hover, and on a computer a Chat now button slides up when you point at a card.
- Report a persona, see who creators follow (1.0.454, 2026-09-27): You can report a persona from its page, and persona pages show when they were published and last updated. Creator profiles show who they follow as well as who follows them.
- Set a first message while creating, and a quicker menu (1.0.453, 2026-09-27): While creating a persona you can now write its first message and a few starter questions, and see exactly how the chat will open. The menu has a Create persona shortcut, and visitors see Log in and Sign up free right at the top.
- For you and Explore on Home (1.0.451, 2026-09-27): Home's Discover now has For you — popular personas in the subject you build most — and Explore, with subject chips to narrow it down. Feed posts show the author's @handle next to the time, and the menu's chat counter shows up as soon as you open it.
- Honest Discover rails, better persona pages and Feed (1.0.445, 2026-09-27): Discover's rails now say what they rank: Popular (most liked and copied) and New — nothing claims chat activity we don't measure. Persona pages show the creator with their photo, a heart button with the like count, and blue Follow buttons. The Feed shows each persona as a picture card you can heart, with times like "3 weeks ago".
- Creator profiles, filled in (1.0.442, 2026-09-27): Creator profiles now show when each creator joined, a Followers tab with names and photos, and an About tab with the subjects they cover. Stats show real numbers — likes, forks, reviews, documents and people chatting now — plus achievements with your progress toward each one. Links to a creator's profile now open it from anywhere in the app, and the page address can be shared or refreshed.
- Tap a creator to see their profile (1.0.440, 2026-09-27): Tap the creator's name on any persona card to open their profile, and profile pages now show personas as full-size cards.
- Heart personas and see creators at a glance (1.0.439, 2026-09-27): Heart a persona straight from its card, and creator profiles now show followers, personas and likes at a glance with a big Follow button.
- A new look for Discover and personas (1.0.437, 2026-09-27): Discover, Home and creator pages show personas as picture cards, with the name and a short description over the image. Filter Discover by All or For sale, sort by trending, popular or newest, and pick a subject — sort and subject now work together. Persona pages open with a large picture beside the details, and the chat's side panel shows who you're talking to.
- Keep quizzes people share with you (1.0.436, 2026-09-26): After taking a quiz someone shared, tap Save to My Library to keep the questions, answers and sources. Retaking it needs no AI and works offline. If the quiz came from a persona you can't open, the retake runs in your own Pallio assistant.
- Retaking a saved quiz works again (1.0.434, 2026-09-26): Retake Quiz in My Library now opens the saved questions straight away; before, it opened an empty chat. A chat can hold more than one quiz: a new or retaken quiz no longer disappears behind an older finished one. Tidier quiz and Library screens: answers stay readable after grading, the save button says Save, and card buttons no longer run off the edge. Old announcements no longer pop up when you come back after a while; they wait in your notifications.
- Citation highlights on more PDFs (1.0.433, 2026-09-26): PDFs whose text is stored letter by letter (many browser-printed files) now highlight the cited passage instead of showing the page without a highlight.
- Citations land on the right page (1.0.432, 2026-09-26): Tapping a citation now opens the page the quoted text is actually on, even when the passage sits just past a page break. The period after a row of citation pills no longer floats on its own, the chat counter is shown once, and reset times say tonight or tomorrow.
- Smoother persona creation on phones (1.0.431, 2026-09-26): Creating a persona on a phone is tidier: the prompt toolbar no longer runs off the edge, avatar choices are readable, the Back and Next bar sits flush, and the file area says "tap" instead of "drag and drop". After creating a persona, the phone's Back button no longer reopens an empty create screen. When training finishes, you get one clear notice instead of three, and "Start chatting" closes it.
- One Home for everyone (1.0.430, 2026-09-25): New accounts and visitors now see the same Home as everyone else. The old "Start with a goal" cards are gone; Explore Discover and Add your material cover the same starting points.
- Losing and regaining your connection no longer restarts the app (1.0.427, 2026-09-25): When your connection drops and comes back, the app used to reload itself, losing unsaved edits, a message you were typing and an answer in progress. It now simply carries on.
- A chat that fails to open no longer reloads forever (1.0.426, 2026-09-25): Opening a conversation link that no longer works (for example a group you left or that was deleted) used to reload the page again and again. It now shows the message once, with a Retry button.
- Think Deeper says what it does (1.0.425, 2026-09-25): Think Deeper now describes itself accurately: it searches all your documents again and allows a longer answer "Remember this" has its own bookmark icon so it is no longer confused with Think Deeper
- New conversation starts a fresh thread (1.0.424, 2026-09-25): The menu's New conversation button opens your Pallio assistant on a new topic instead of resuming the last one
- "New conversation" starts one (1.0.423, 2026-09-25): The menu's New conversation button now opens a fresh chat with your Pallio assistant instead of just taking you Home
- Fix: error screen when starting a chat (1.0.422, 2026-09-25): Starting a persona chat no longer flashes an error screen (a bug introduced earlier today) The error screen itself matches the rest of the app and offers Reload and Home
- A useful screen when a chat cannot open (1.0.421, 2026-09-25): Opening a chat link that no longer works now shows your personas to pick from, plus Discover and Home, instead of a card asking you to use a sidebar that is not there
- Grounded answers restored for older personas (1.0.420, 2026-09-25): Some personas had quietly lost ranked document search after their storage was consolidated; answers came from a plain fallback. Ranked search with page citations is back for all of them
- Menus stay on screen (1.0.419, 2026-09-25): A file menu near the bottom of the screen now opens upward instead of running off the edge Home: saved podcasts appear as podcasts in "Made from your files"
- Renames follow the file, and Home shows what you made (1.0.418, 2026-09-25): Renaming a file in My Library renames it inside every persona that uses it, and in their citations Home has a "Made from your files" row: your latest quizzes, flashcards and podcasts, one tap away The persona editor no longer thinks you have unsaved changes after a save finishes indexing Persona editor on a phone: the empty band under the top bar is gone
- Removing a file never deletes a shared copy (1.0.417, 2026-09-25): Persona editor on a phone: file rows say "Indexed · 45 chunks" instead of an emoji, the plan and token cards are plain white groups, and the page title is no longer shown twice Every way of removing a file from a persona now keeps the stored file while another persona or your Library still uses it
- Shared files are safe to remove (1.0.416, 2026-09-25): Removing a file from one persona no longer deletes the stored file while another persona, or your Library, still uses it
- Drag handle (1.0.415, 2026-09-25): Each file and folder in My Library has a grip on the left: press and hold it to drag, so the list still scrolls normally
- Drag files into folders (1.0.414, 2026-09-25): In My Library, drag a file or a folder onto a folder, or onto a breadcrumb, to move it (press and hold on a phone)
- Attach from My Library works (1.0.413, 2026-09-25): "Attach to persona" from My Library now adds the file to the persona editor every time (it could be dropped while the persona's files were still loading)
- Home polish (1.0.412, 2026-09-25): Home's Discover heading and "See all" stay on one line on phones; hero rows are left-aligned
- A Home that shows what Pallio is (1.0.411, 2026-09-25): Home opens on three things you can do: pick up your last conversation, explore Discover, or add your material — with the question box just below Make a quiz, flashcards or a podcast from your files right from Home, and open My Library in one tap Your personas are a swipeable row with a "New persona" card first; Discover's public personas follow right after The how-it-works steps, goal cards and platform counters no longer take the top of the page
- Know your files (1.0.410, 2026-09-25): Every file and folder in My Library has a Details view: which personas use it, whether it is indexed, its safety scan, size, type, date and copies; tap a persona to jump to its Knowledge tab A meter at the top of My Library shows how much you are using and what your plan allows per persona and per file Files being indexed now say "Indexing now…" instead of "Not indexed" Open menus close when you tap anywhere else
- Upload straight into your library (1.0.409, 2026-09-25): My Library has an Upload button: add files into any folder without going through a persona first, then attach them to personas whenever you like
- Top bar sits at the top (1.0.408, 2026-09-25): The back-arrow bar on persona, creator, editor and settings screens is now a slim strip at the very top of the screen
- Top bar moves up (1.0.407, 2026-09-25): The back-arrow bar on persona, creator, editor and settings screens now hugs the top of the screen
- Screens that read like one app (1.0.406, 2026-09-25): Persona pages, creator pages and the persona editor open under a slim top bar with a back arrow and the page title on phones Settings on a phone is now a list; tap a section to open it on its own screen Conversations on a phone are one grouped list with hairlines instead of stacked cards Feed filters share a single swipeable row The floating chat bubble no longer covers lists and cards; start a chat from the menu, Home or any persona
- No flash of the old look (1.0.405, 2026-09-25): The app opens straight into its current design instead of showing the old bordered look for a few seconds on a cold start
- Lighter headers on phones (1.0.404, 2026-09-25): Creating a persona on a phone shows a slim progress bar and "Step 1 of 5" instead of five large circles, so the first field is on screen Settings sections are one swipeable row on phones instead of four stacked rows
- Pages you can link to (1.0.403, 2026-09-24): My Library, Notifications, My Highlights and My Shares now have their own web addresses, so a reload or a shared link brings you back to the right page Persona pages: the creator's name no longer breaks across lines on a phone Creator profiles say "public personas", so a creator with private personas is not shown as having none
- Content reaches the edges on phones (1.0.402, 2026-09-24): Pages now use the full width of a phone screen: the side gap is half what it was
- Clearer edges in dark mode (1.0.401, 2026-09-24): In dark mode, cards and groups have a slightly stronger edge so they read as separate surfaces
- Pinned personas sit cleanly on the new background (1.0.400, 2026-09-24): The white halo around pinned persona avatars on Home is gone
- Side menu labels readable again (1.0.399, 2026-09-24): Side menu labels are dark again; only the icons are grey
- A calmer look (1.0.398, 2026-09-24): A neutral grey background with white groups that float on a soft shadow instead of a border, on every screen The side menu is light, its icons share one grey, and only the page you are on is blue
- More room on phones (1.0.397, 2026-09-24): On phones, Settings, persona pages, your file list and conversations no longer sit inside boxed cards, so text gets the full width of the screen Nothing changes on tablets and desktops
- Creator card says what it counts (1.0.396, 2026-09-23): A persona page's creator card now says "public personas", so a creator with private personas is not shown as having none
- Headers fit the phone (1.0.395, 2026-09-23): The Study heading is smaller on phones so the add button no longer crowds it Conversations: the title no longer runs under the buttons on a phone Discover: "See all" stays on one line next to each shelf title
- Library tabs fit the phone (1.0.394, 2026-09-23): My Library: the Files, Study and Podcasts tabs all fit on a phone screen
- Editor tabs fit the phone (1.0.393, 2026-09-23): Persona editor: all four section tabs (Essentials, Knowledge, Settings, Deploy) are visible at once on a phone The My Personas title stays on one line on a phone
- Persona editor fits the phone (1.0.392, 2026-09-23): The Files / Folder / Library choice is one even row on a phone
- Sidebar fits the phone (1.0.391, 2026-09-23): Sidebar rows are tighter on phones, so Settings and More stay on screen at the larger default text size
- Fits the phone at larger text (1.0.390, 2026-09-23): Persona editor: all three upload buttons (Files, Folder, Library) fit on one line on a phone
- Phone fixes (1.0.389, 2026-09-23): Fixed "Couldn't load all of this persona's settings" on some older personas — editing and saving work again Persona editor: the Files / Folder / Library buttons fit on a phone; Conversations header no longer clips its buttons "How I found this" stays on one line at larger text sizes
- A new Discover, and a new face (1.0.387, 2026-09-23): Discover is a storefront: a Featured shelf, then Trending, New and Most chatted rails you can swipe, with rating, chats, documents and Free/Premium on every card Headings, greetings and persona names now use a warmer editorial typeface; body text stays Inter
- Easier to read, clearer what Pallio does (1.0.385, 2026-09-23): Text is larger by default (what used to be the largest setting); Settings › Text size now goes two steps bigger still Home explains the three things Pallio does: bring material, ask, see the exact line Answer sources say what a tap does ("Open p. 3"); a new answer eases in My Personas on phones: totals in one row instead of four tiles, so your personas start higher
- Podcasts and indexing status in your library (1.0.383, 2026-09-23): New Podcasts tab in My Library: every podcast you have made, with the recording and a link back to its chat Each file now shows whether it is indexed and how many chunks it holds The same document uploaded to several personas shows once, marked "N copies"; long lists load 100 at a time Persona editor tells you when a persona holds more files than your plan indexes
- Folders in your library (1.0.380, 2026-09-23): Organise your files into folders: create, rename, move files between them, delete empty ones Attach a whole folder to a persona in one go; the picker tells you how much room your plan leaves In the persona editor, "From your library" can filter by folder and add everything at once
- Your files, in one library (1.0.378, 2026-09-23): My Library now has a Files tab: every document you have added to any persona, once, with where it is used Persona editor → Knowledge → "From your library" attaches a file you already have — no upload, no waiting From a file in your library, "Attach to persona" opens that persona with the file ready to save Rename a file, or remove it from your library once no persona uses it
- Finding your personas is easier (1.0.374, 2026-09-23): The persona search box has its own row on phones, shows a clear button while you are filtering, and tells you how many personas match Fixed personas going missing from My Personas on phones when the list refreshed while it was still loading
- Deleting a chat now really deletes it (1.0.369, 2026-09-22): Deleting a chat removes it everywhere, straight away — on your other devices too, and it stays deleted even if the app closes right after Its earlier conversations, and the images, audio and podcast files it created, are removed with it Anything you saved to My Library is kept
- Mark my answer (1.0.345, 2026-09-19): Write or paste an exam answer and get a mark with feedback, graded against the documents in that persona — what earned credit, what was missing, and the page behind each point Find it under + in the message box, or type /mark
- A calmer message box (1.0.344, 2026-09-19): The message box now keeps the essentials in view and moves adding a document or a photo into the + menu, where the rest of the create actions already live Think Deeper stays one tap away as an icon on phones, with its label on larger screens
- How I found this, in plain words (1.0.337, 2026-09-19): The "How I found this" panel now describes each step in everyday language and no longer lists the AI model; it still shows what was searched, how your question was read, and which pages the answer drew on
- The orb does something (1.0.336, 2026-09-19): Tap the orb beside the composer to open "How I found this" on the latest answer; press and hold it to switch Think Deeper on or off (where your plan includes it) In the original-document viewer the cited passage is now marked in blue, so it no longer looks like one of your own yellow highlights
- Document viewer fits the screen (1.0.335, 2026-09-19): The document viewer no longer runs under the phone's navigation bar, its corners clip cleanly, and its loading, progress and error states follow dark mode
- Document viewer matches the app (1.0.334, 2026-09-19): The original-document viewer now shows the file name as its title on phones, uses the app's icon buttons and numerals, and its page and zoom bar follows dark mode
- Citation highlight fits the passage (1.0.333, 2026-09-19): When an answer reworded a passage, the highlight now covers exactly the sentences that carry it instead of a fixed-size block that could start in the paragraph before
- Citations find paraphrased passages (1.0.332, 2026-09-19): When an answer reworded a passage, tapping its citation now lands on and highlights that passage instead of the top of the document Tapping a document name that is followed by a line reference opens those lines, the same as the numbered citation next to it
- Citation highlights on stored documents (1.0.331, 2026-09-19): Tapping a numbered citation on a persona whose files are stored in the cloud now opens the page and highlights the passage again, instead of jumping to a page with nothing marked
- Free plan: three document uploads a day (1.0.330, 2026-09-18): The free plan now allows three document uploads per day instead of one, so a course with a few files fits without upgrading
- Citation highlights back on older documents (1.0.329, 2026-09-18): Tapping a citation finds and highlights the passage again on documents whose page numbers were recorded imprecisely; the viewer now keeps searching past the expected page instead of stopping there
- Start with a document (1.0.328, 2026-09-18): Drop a PDF, slides or notes onto the home page (or the front page before you sign in) and chat about it right away; you can turn it into a persona afterwards Creating a persona now opens its chat straight away, with a "Training…" badge while the documents index Quiz Me on the home page builds the quiz from your most recent document instead of a general-knowledge quiz; on phones the home shows Upload and Quiz first New accounts get one welcome question instead of a three-step survey; the "verify your email" bar only appears where publishing, selling or messaging needs it
- Shared documents get their own conversation (1.0.282, 2026-09-17): Sharing a document to Pallio and choosing "Chat about it now" opens the Pallio Assistant with that document loaded for the conversation only, so it no longer fills up the assistant's own file list Each shared document starts a fresh conversation; the previous one is kept under Conversations as a titled thread you can resume any time Documents you chat with count toward your plan's daily document allowance, the same one uploads use
- Share a file to Pallio and start right away (1.0.272, 2026-09-17): Pallio now appears in the iPhone and iPad share sheet for PDFs, EPUBs, Office files and text (app update 1.0.79 or later), just as it already did on Android, where EPUB is now included Sharing a file gives you three choices: chat about it right now, create a persona from it, or add it to one of your existing personas
- Sign in with Microsoft on mobile, and EPUB textbooks (1.0.271, 2026-09-16): Continue with Microsoft now works in the mobile apps (app update 1.0.78 or later), for school and work accounts as well as personal ones Pallio is a verified Microsoft publisher, so people at organizations that use Microsoft 365 can sign in without asking their IT admin first Upload EPUB books: DRM-free digital textbooks now work as persona documents, with chapter headings kept so answers can point to the right chapter. Copy-protected (DRM) books are refused with a clear message
- Checkout loads only when you open it (1.0.270, 2026-09-16): The app no longer contacts Stripe on every page; payment code loads the moment you open checkout If checkout cannot load (offline, blocked network) you now see a clear message and a Retry button
- Quieter, tamper-proof console (1.0.268, 2026-09-16): Turning debug logging off now silences every startup message, not just the ones after the app finished loading Retrieval tuning helpers are no longer left on the page for anyone to change; they appear only when debug logging is on
- Your account details are now private (1.0.265, 2026-09-16): Your email address, name and plan are no longer visible to other people using Pallio. Only what you choose to show on your profile is public. People search now matches display names and usernames, not email addresses. Inviting someone to a persona, team or group chat by their email still works. Following and unfollowing now update follower counts reliably.
- Clearer labels on files that are too large to scan (1.0.264, 2026-09-15): A document too large for the virus scanner is now labelled "Not scanned" instead of "Scan pending", which wrongly suggested a scan was still on its way. Nothing about the file changes; the label just tells you the truth.
- The update prompt now appears every time (1.0.263, 2026-09-15): When a new version of Pallio ships while you have a tab open, you are offered the update instead of the page silently going stale and then reloading itself when you open something. Training a persona now tells you it started once, not once per processing round.
- Faster uploads for very large documents (1.0.262, 2026-09-15): Uploading a document too large to virus-scan no longer pauses for 30 seconds before continuing. Files that can be scanned are still scanned, and an unscanned file is still labelled as such. Creating a persona no longer logs a permissions warning while checking that its draft is unique.
- Profile photos on Android, and buttons back where you can reach them (1.0.261, 2026-09-13): Choosing a profile photo or banner from your phone's photos now actually applies it on Android and iOS. On Android phones with the three-button navigation bar, the bottom of every page (like a persona's Start Chat button) no longer hides under the system buttons.
- Chats open faster from Recent and the home page (1.0.258, 2026-09-13): Tapping a recent chat or a persona on the home page opens it right away: we start loading the persona the moment your finger or cursor lands on it. While a large persona finishes loading, the screen names it instead of showing a blank spinner.
- Cloud drives are back, and your files are locked down (1.0.257, 2026-09-13): Connect Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox to a persona again (Professional and up). Pick a folder or individual files; they sync nightly and when they change. Large documents from your drive now sync too — the old size limit is gone. Remove any synced file from a persona on its own, or disconnect the whole drive; either way nothing is left behind, and the file in your drive is never touched. If a drive needs re-authorising, the connection says so and offers a one-tap Reconnect. Your uploaded documents can now only be opened by you and the people you share a persona with, and a private persona is readable only by its owner and collaborators.
- Sign in with Microsoft (1.0.251, 2026-09-13): Sign in to Pallio on the web with a Microsoft work, school, or personal account. If that email already has a Pallio account, sign in the way you did before and Microsoft is connected to it automatically. Release notes now live in Settings under What's new, and at pallio.ai/changelog.
- Highlights land exactly where you selected (1.0.248, 2026-09-12): On Android, highlights and text selection now line up with the page at every zoom level. A long-press between lines no longer selects the whole page, and dragging across a gap no longer jumps to the end of the document. Short highlights open on their page from My Highlights, and deleting a highlight clears its marker right away.
- Highlights, notes and sharing (1.0.242, 2026-09-12): My Highlights opens each highlight on its own page, even in very large books. Add a note from the PDF itself, or edit notes right in the list. Share a single highlight, or export everything you see as Markdown. Deleting asks first, and edits are kept safe if your connection drops mid-way. A cleaner selection bar on phones, with a preview of what you are about to save.
- Faster PDFs on phones (1.0.235, 2026-09-12): Large PDFs open at the cited page after downloading a few megabytes instead of the whole file. A progress bar shows the download, and citations remember their page. A page scrubber for long documents, plus a one-tap "Back to citation".
- A quieter chat screen (1.0.217, 2026-09-11): The "chats remaining" banner is gone; your daily allowance sits quietly above the composer. Daily reset times now show in your own time zone. The PDF viewer opens fitted to your screen and follows your light or dark theme. When an update is ready, Settings shows it with a one-tap restart.
